Explore the new FOCUS ON Business – May–June 2025 issue

Share

The May–June issue of FOCUS ON Business has just been released – a particularly significant edition, not only for the insights it contains, but also because it marks the final issue of the magazine in print. Reflections on the magazine’s evolution and what comes next can be found in the editorial that opens this edition.

As always, the magazine focuses on the key topics shaping today’s business landscape in Poland and around the world – with special attention to emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence.

"Poland will not be the next Silicon Valley. And that’s a good thing. We have our own data, our own needs, and our own pace. What we can build is AI that doesn’t shine on a conference stage, but it gets the job done. Locally, effectively, without unnecessary noise. And who knows, maybe some products might even conquer global markets?" says Karol Stryja, author of the 99 Faces of AI podcast, consultant, and AI evangelist, in this issue’s cover interview.

The legal section features an in-depth analysis by attorney Noemi Chudzik on the EU’s AI Act – exploring whether the new regulations adequately address the challenges posed by rapidly advancing AI technologies and how they might impact businesses and users.

In the article “Borderless BPO”, Mark Angus discusses how global companies are rethinking their outsourcing strategies, highlighting the growing importance of nearshoring and multi-regional delivery models.

As always, the Investments section showcases specific examples of how Polish cities are actively attracting investors in the modern business services sector, while enhancing quality of life for residents. This issue features updates from Katowice, the Tricity, Elbląg, Poznań, Łódź, Bydgoszcz, Kielce, and Wrocław.

In Career&Development section, we recommend the article by Paweł Łopatka and Dominik Malec of Experis (part of ManpowerGroup), who examine the impact of AI, automation, and cybersecurity on current trends and career opportunities in the IT sector.

For over a decade, FOCUS ON Business (published under the name Outsourcing&More from 2011 to 2021) has accompanied readers with in-depth articles, expert interviews, and timely market insights. This May–June issue closes one chapter – but it’s far from the end of our journey. Instead, it’s a step towards new formats and new ways of connecting with our audience.

We warmly invite you to explore this final edition of our bimonthly magazine – a turning point in our shared journey through the world of business.
